Syntia is an Istanbul based multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and drag performer.

Having grown up witnessing late-stage capitalism, she draws an artist profile difficult to understand at first glance; she uses different mediums, styles and expressions as a reaction to the art world of fast-consumable and simple labels. Syntia’s aim is to present a trans perspective to the binary system she lives in, inspired by the  queer community in Istanbul, which also inspired her process of understanding her gender identity, with and through her art.

She started drag in 2019, expanded her vision through digital media during the pandemic and then returned to performing on stage. Since then, she has performed on events such as XSM, Siraen and Dudakların Cengi. She allows her audience to explore a new facet of her each time she performs, through changing genres and style.
